A Sunday Saunter

Richmond – Kingston -Return

There are 2 good reasons to avoid trains on the Kingston loop, one is that there’s Rugby at Twickenham, the other is that it’s a Sunday. Today both were true, so I stuck with the bus.

st-richardsRather than take the faster, direct bus, I took the bus that tours around Ham, a leafy suburb between Richmond and Kingston. The journey takes 10 minutes longer, but given I had a 9 minute wait for the direct service it seemed like a good use of time.

The trip was very pleasant but for the most part unremarkable. The only thing I did see was St Richards C of E Church, which has a very interesting Star of David shape. An architect with a sense of fun perhaps?

Rather boringly, I took the direct bus back, which was even less noteworthy.

I like it when nothing happens. It means short blog entries and a chance to catch up.
